Neck killer No. 1

Face Yoga helps you become aware of your various posture mistakes and the resulting changes in your face.

Undisputed number one among posture mistakes: looking down at your phone for hours! This poor posture puts extreme strain on the neck, constantly overstretches the ligaments, and keeps the neck muscles tense (for several hours a day).

The average adult human head weighs five kilograms. The more tilted the head is when looking at a mobile phone, the greater the weight of the head on the neck.

These forces act on your neck:

Head straight 0°

Weight 5 kg

Head tilted 30°

Weight 18 kg

Head tilted 60°

Weight 27 kg

Nackenmuskeln

Always pay attention to your posture!

Hold your phone at eye level while typing and rest your elbows on the sides of your lower ribcage.

If possible, use a hands-free device or headphones when making phone calls.

This posture also promotes and intensifies the formation of a double chin, as the skin of the lower half of the face is pulled downwards more.

There are some excellent face yoga exercises for double chins, either to prevent them or to reduce them.
